A Caravela in Cologne

Highly recommended restaurant. The food was excellent, everything freshly prepared and a large selection. The table was lovingly set and we were served very friendly. The place is a bit out of the way, but it's worth the walk.

In all these years I have never been disappointed here! The food is very tasty, fresh and plentiful and the wines are also very fine. The owners are very friendly and it just feels like family. My absolute favorite place in Cologne.

An authentic cozy Portuguese restaurant with super friendly owners. It’s a small place that only fits about 15-20 guests, therefore a safe environment in Corona times. Highly recommended if you enjoy homemade authentic Portuguese cuisine!

Good atmosphere, good staff but the owner is very stressed which removes the "typical Portuguese welcome". Unusually expensive wines. We ate some Bulhão Pato clams that were good and reasonable swordfish. Of course, the accompaniment had to be ... Beer ... I couldn't do more ?

We were here for a birthday party. The table was nicely set, the waitress was very attentive. As a starter, grilled sardines, squid rings and fresh salad were served on the table. Then meat, fish and potatoes. All very tasty. For dessert there was molotov with egg liqueur.

It's a cute little restaurant and it's real Portugese. I liked it's lot and the ambience was just great. Only thing not so nice was the fact that it was really dark, we couldn't really read the menu. But everything else was great and the food tasted really good. Would recommend it

From the moment we were treated by the lady, who was super friendly, until we came away. Good food "to Portugal" only taking away the lack of rice, so typical Portuguese, that accompanies everything in Portugal. Portuguese products and wines. Can go the will and the trust ..... A hug from Penafiel.

Best place to sabor the taste of the home country

Pleasant atmosphere, with Portuguese music in the background. Extremely friendly and careful service. Varied menu. House wine from the central region of Portugal, it has a flavor with some tones of acidity. The dishes are tasty, and some are completely freshly prepared. This is a Slow food proposal. The entire environment is inviting for long conversations, meetings, business or family meetings. Credit cards accepted.
